Who we are

LIGA Skill Development Academy is a licensed Sri Lankan foreign-employment agency with its own construction training academy. This policy covers this website. Separate, written consent is taken at the training centre for the information we hold about candidates who enrol.

What this website collects

Only what you type into the inquiry form and choose to send. Nothing is collected in the background.

• Your name and WhatsApp number (required, so we can reply)
• An alternative phone number, your district, the trade you are interested in, whether you hold a passport, your current job, how you heard about us, and your message — all optional
• Your tick on the consent checkbox

We never ask for documents here

This website has no file upload of any kind. Never send your passport, national identity card, certificates or bank details through a web form — not ours and not anyone else’s. Bring your documents to the centre, or ask us how to share them safely.

Why we use it

To reply to your inquiry and to talk to you about training and placement. We do not sell your details, we do not send marketing to people who have not asked for it, and we do not share your inquiry with an employer. Sharing anything with an overseas employer happens only after you enrol and only with the separate, written consent we record for that purpose.

How your message reaches us

This is a static website with no database. Your inquiry is either opened as a prefilled WhatsApp message that you send yourself, or forwarded by a third-party form service to the academy. Either way it arrives as a message; nothing is stored on this website.

How long we keep it

We keep an inquiry only for as long as it takes to answer you and, if you go on to register, for as long as your candidate file is active. If you ask us to delete your details and you are not an enrolled candidate, we delete them.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party tracking. Your language choice is carried in the address of the page you are on, not stored on your device. The short background video on the home page is delivered by a third-party media hosting service; like any server that sends a file, it receives your IP address and basic browser details to do so, and it sets no cookies. It is loaded only on computers with a mouse or trackpad, and never on a device set to reduce motion. If analytics is ever added, it will be a privacy-respecting service and this section will say so.

If you enrol: consent for each purpose

For enrolled candidates we record permission separately for each purpose, as required under the Sri Lankan Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022: processing your personal data, being photographed, recording a demo video, and sharing your details with the agency. You may agree to some and refuse others, and you may change your mind.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw a consent you gave. Contact us and tell us what you want; we will confirm what we have done.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated date at the top of this page changes with it.
