What you will learn
Five days on the tools, not five days in a chair.
- Preparing block, brick and concrete surfaces, and knowing when a surface needs a key or a bonding coat
- Sand, cement and water ratios for scratch, float and finish coats
- Setting screeds and corner beads so the wall comes out plumb and square
- Applying, ruling off and floating to a flat surface without hollows
- Working around openings, reveals, corners and service chases
- Curing, and why a wall that dries too fast cracks
- Diagnosing common defects — cracking, hollowness, poor adhesion — and their causes
Safety on this trade
Working from scaffolds and platforms, cement burns and skin protection, dust masks, and safe mixing.

Three assessments, in Sinhala or English.

Trade skills

Real site knowledge and safety: working at height, damaged power tools, concrete mixes, reinforcement, striking formwork, tiling preparation, and knowing when to ask for training instead of attempting an untrained task.
After the course
Pass, and you are certified. Certified candidates are shortlisted, and our in-house placement agency submits that shortlist to an overseas employer. The employer makes the final selection — we do not promise an outcome, we prepare you for one.
